I travelled with an 5-member team to Purple Valley and Milne Fiord, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut in July 2023.

We were presented with picture-perfect weather for the duration of our data collection. A camp was set-up for a week on the Milne Ice Shelf and we were able to conduct days worth of ice-thickness surveys, dives with a remotely-operated vehicle, and deployments of oceanographic instruments. Following this and back at our home-base in Purple Valley, we focused on data collection and instrumentation of the Milne Glacier. Our run of sunny skies ended the day we were to be picked up to head south again, so we were gifted a bonus week+ of camp time at Purple Valley, Nunavut.
